With the 2008 Zoom Skylon 11, Nike brought the Skylon series to a close. It was designed by John Hlavacs, a veteran designer at the brand, at a time when Nike was pursuing the lightest, most breathable running shoe possible: Zoom Air units underfoot and Free-style flex grooves in the outsole, designed for long distances. Its return has turned it into a cult classic, and this combination of white, silver and Cacao Wow is the easiest to wear every day.
The model turns the usual construction logic on its head: lightweight mesh takes center stage, while TPU and metallic synthetic leather pieces provide support, creating those web-like overlays. Here, white covers the base, silver runs across the reinforcements and Cacao Wow brown appears in specific details, adding warmth to an otherwise purely metallic design.
