The original Taekwondo was designed in 1988 for real martial arts performance: grip, agility and precision in the kick. For decades it was a training shoe, with a canvas upper and rubber sole. In 2025 adidas reinterpreted the Mei variant, bringing it closer to the language of ballet, and that's where it found a second life off the mat. Its structural signature is the two-piece split sole, which reveals the 3-Stripes wrapping under the foot and allows very high flex through the midfoot — a direct legacy of its original purpose. The profile is low and narrow, almost like an indoor shoe. In Preloved Brown/Cream White, brown leather covers the body and the cream and white tones are kept for the stripes and sole.
